Established in August of 2008 by his students, the Aceituno Arts Cooperative is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Mestre Carlos Aceituno through the arts. To this end, the Aceituno Arts Cooperative seeks to foster a diverse community of martial artists, dancers, and musicians; to provide a safe and open space for the teaching, sharing, preservation and practice of our arts.

Created by students for students, the Aceituno Arts Cooperative is a multi-purpose studio offering classes in capoeira, yoga, samba, drumming, and many other arts. In addition to our regular class schedule, the AAC also hosts performances, workshops, and many other special events. Classes at the Aceituno Arts Cooperative are open to everyone, regardless of age, level of experience, or group affiliation. The Aceituno Arts Cooperative is home to a community as varied and multi-faceted as the arts we practice, and whether you’re seeking to teach or to learn, to gain strength and agility or to experience different cultures and histories, we invite you to come join us!
