Pole La Teaze

Shelly began formal training as a dancer in 1987. She has studied Latin ballroom, modern, jazz, and ballet with such dance masters as Alex de Silva (salsa), Gary Masters and Cheryl Chaddick (Limon technique), her mentor Lynn Brilliante (jazz) and Janet Von Swoll (formerly of San Francisco Ballet). In 1994 She received a dance scholarship from the Dancer’s Synectics Group where she trained in jazz, hip-hop and tap under the direction of Ann Garvin; this lead to a professional stage career until 2002.

Shelly has been teaching dance and fitness for over a decade and is a certified fitness and Pilates trainer. Her introduction to pole dancing began as a part time job as a go-go dancer while pursuing a BA in dance/theater arts at San Jose State University. “Working as an exotic dancer I was awe struck by the moves some dancers could do on the pole, the way they slinked across the floor, and the way they could make a spectator's jaw drop”. Since those years she has watched pole-dancing eeck its way into the US mainstream of dance and fitness thanks to women like KT Coates of Vertical Dance, Fawnia Mondey of Pole Fitness, and Jessica Jackaki and Kari Shaver of Pole Addiction.

Bhakti Flow Yoga

Mike Richardson has been practicing Bikram yoga for 7 years. Last year, he found Bhakti Flow Yoga a fusion of Bikram, Ashtanga and Sivananda and began studying with Rusty Wells. He immediately fell in love with the aggressive spirit of Bhakti Flow and loves to share yoga with everyone he can. When Mike is not teaching yoga, he can be found outdoors, playing in nature. Mike also leads and facilitates Vision Quests in Utah to help people review, revise and reclaim their life dream based on the four-fold way by Angeles Arrien which he also incorporates into his yoga teachings and practice.

Music, movement and laughter are essential to Dina’s yoga practice. Her classes incorporate these elements in an vigorous flow with an emphasis on Bhakti – the yoga of love and devotion. She recognizes the power of yoga to nourish the body, mind and spirit and is a firm believer of applying these benefits to daily life off the mat. Dina recently completed 200 hours of training under Rusty Wells and continues to be influenced and inspired by other teachers including Andrea Maltzer, Bryan Kest and Indigo Stray. Be prepared to chant, sweat, and laugh… all to a great soundtrack!
